Brand Protection
Attackers register domains with your brand in the name, clone your pages and sell counterfeits under it. DNS Watchdog finds those domains, reads what they serve, and ranks them by how dangerous they are.

Impersonation rarely touches your own infrastructure, which is why the rest of your security tooling never sees it. A domain with your brand in it costs a few pounds, a cloned landing page takes an afternoon, and the first you hear of it is a customer asking why your sign-in page wanted their card details. Searching the web for every one of your brands by hand is not a job anyone keeps up with.
DNS Watchdog does it for you. Starting from your brands, it searches the web for domains that contain a brand name, including character swaps such as a 3 for an e or a Cyrillic letter that looks Latin. Every domain that serves a page is fetched, and an AI model reads the page against your brand and the domains you own, scoring it from 0 to 100 for impersonation, commercial exploitation and malicious intent. Pages that score low stay out of your queue, so the list you work is the short one that matters.
Each finding carries its evidence: the fetched page, a screenshot, the redirect chain and the model's reasoning. From there you watch it, flag it, raise a Jira ticket in one click or ignore it with a reason. Brand findings sit in the same review pipeline as your DNS issues, and a dedicated Brand Protection role gives your brand team the findings without access to your DNS.
How it works
- DiscoverEach brand is searched on the web for domains that contain its name, including character swaps. Domains you own and domains you have dismissed are left out, and you can add suspects by hand.
- CheckEvery candidate is resolved, and only the domains that serve a page are fetched, so nothing is spent on dead names.
- AssessAn AI model reads each page against your brand and scores it for impersonation, commercial exploitation and malicious intent, with threat types and the reasoning behind the score.
- CaptureFindings above the risk floor are screenshotted and compared visually with your own sites.
- TriageFindings arrive highest risk first. Watch, flag, raise a Jira ticket or ignore with a reason. Watched domains are re-checked every day.
What you get
- Web search for domains that contain your brand names, including character swaps
- Brands inferred from your zones automatically, plus any you add yourself
- A 0-100 risk score with threat types: phishing, credential harvesting, counterfeit goods, affiliate abuse, domain for sale and more
- The fetched page, a screenshot, the redirect chain and the model's reasoning on every finding
- Watched domains re-checked daily, with an alert when a parked page goes live
- One-click Jira tickets, plus CSV and Excel export
- A Brand Protection role that sees brand findings and nothing else
Why it matters
Catch phishing before your customers do
The gap between a lookalike page going live and its first victim is measured in hours. Daily runs, and daily re-checks of the domains you are watching, close that gap from your side.
Evidence for your takedown request
Registrars and hosts act faster when a report arrives with the domain, a screenshot, what the page serves and why it is a problem. Every finding already carries that package.
A short queue, not a research project
Pages below the risk floor are kept out of view and the rest are ranked by score, so reviewing brand findings is a daily habit rather than a day's work.
Your brand team, without your DNS
The Brand Protection role works findings, raises tickets and exports them, and sees nothing else in the product.
FAQ
Do you take down infringing sites?
No. DNS Watchdog finds and documents them. Each finding carries the fetched page, a screenshot, the redirect chain and the model's reasoning, and can be raised as a Jira ticket in one click. Filing the takedown with the registrar or host stays with you or your takedown provider.
How is this different from a trademark watch service?
A trademark watch tells you a similar name was registered. DNS Watchdog visits the domain, reads what it serves and assesses whether it is impersonating you, which a registration alert cannot tell you. It also re-checks the domains you are watching every day, so a parked name that goes live is caught.
What will it not find?
It finds domains that contain your brand name, character swaps included, so acm3-outlet.com is caught for Acme. A misspelling that drops or reorders letters, such as amce-outlet.com, does not contain the name and is only checked if you add it by hand. It watches domains, not social media accounts, marketplaces or app stores.
Will this flood me with false positives?
No. Findings that score below the risk floor, 50 by default, are kept out of every view, and only findings that reach medium or high risk notify your channels. The rest stay one filter away if you want to see them.
Can our brand team use it without access to our DNS?
Yes. The Brand Protection role sees brand findings and nothing else: it can triage, export and raise Jira tickets, but it cannot see your zones, records or DNS issues.
