Executive Report

Leadership wants to know whether DNS risk is going up or down, not how many CNAME records you have. The Executive Report answers that on two pages, on a schedule, without anyone having to prepare it.

Both pages of the Executive Report PDF: the security grade, open, new and resolved issue counts, executive summary, grade trend and issues by severity on page one, and the top open issue types and six-area security posture board on page two.

Security teams lose hours turning tool output into something a board or an auditor can read. DNS Watchdog does it for you: a two-page A4 PDF with your security grade, how it moved since the last scan, open issues by severity, what was found and fixed in the period, and the grade's trend over recent scans.

The second page shows where the risk sits: the most common open issue types, and a posture board that rolls every finding up into six areas anyone recognises (email authentication, certificates and TLS, exposed services, domain integrity, IP reputation, and availability and content), each marked healthy, monitor, needs attention or at risk.

Choose weekly or monthly, a start date and time, and up to ten recipients, and the report arrives as a PDF attachment at the time you chose. It can also be downloaded from the dashboard whenever you need it.

How it works

  1. SchedulePick weekly or monthly, a start date and time, and up to ten recipients.
  2. CompileAt each send, the grade, its trend, the issue counts and the period's changes are gathered across your whole estate.
  3. RenderA two-page PDF is produced: the headline numbers on page one, where the risk sits on page two.
  4. DeliverThe PDF is emailed to every recipient as an attachment. Recipients do not need a DNS Watchdog account.

What you get

  • Security grade, score and change since the last scan
  • Open, new and resolved issues for the period
  • The grade's trend across recent scans
  • Open issues by severity and the top open issue types
  • A six-area posture board in plain language
  • Weekly or monthly delivery to up to ten recipients, plus download on demand

Why it matters

Reporting nobody has to write

The numbers leadership asks for arrive in their inbox on schedule, so the security team spends the time fixing findings instead of summarising them.

A trend, not a snapshot

The grade's history shows whether the estate is getting safer, which is the question leadership actually asks.

Evidence of continuous monitoring

Each report records the grade, the records under watch and the period covered: a regular record for SOC 2-style reviews and security questionnaires.

Readable by anyone

Posture areas and severities in plain language, so the report can go to a board, a finance director or an auditor without a briefing.

FAQ

Who can receive the report?

Up to ten email addresses. Recipients do not need a DNS Watchdog account, so the report can go straight to executives, the board secretary or an auditor.

Can I get the report on demand?

Yes. Export from the dashboard downloads the current report as a PDF whenever you need it, for example before a board meeting.

What does the posture board cover?

Every open finding, grouped into six areas: email authentication, certificates and TLS, exposed services, domain integrity, IP reputation, and availability and content. Each area shows its open count and a status from healthy to at risk.
